Lothamer is a professional firm of Certified Public Accountants, and was founded by Jesse I. Lothamer, J.D., C.P.A. in 1978. The firm specializes in Tax Representation and Tax Problem Resolution, and has helped thousands of clients settle their tax problems with the IRS and State of Michigan. We not only solve tax problems, but we also show clients innovative ways to get current. With offices across the State of Michigan, Lothamer is Michigan's leading Tax Resolution Firm, and will continue to provide the general public with tax representation and tax problem resolution for a wide variety of tax problems.

Jesse I. Lothamer, J.D., C.P.A.

Founder and President of Lothamer

Mr. Lothamer is a licensed C.P.A. in the State of Michigan. He holds a Bachelors degree from Olivet College, a Masters in Accounting from Western Michigan University, and a law degree from Cooley Law School. Mr. Lothamer, has been in practice for over 30 years and has helped thousands of people with their tax problems.

He is a member of the Michigan Association of C.P.A.'s.

Brian R. Lorencen, M.B.A., C.P.A.

Vice President/Shareholder

Mr. Lorencen is licensed C.P.A. in the state of Michigan.  Brian is a proud alumni of Michigan State University, where he received both a Bachelors degree in Accounting, and a Masters degree in Professional Accounting and Accounting Information Systems. Mr. Lorencen has worked for nearly 14 years in the professional accounting world. Since joining Lothamer P.C. in 2001, Mr. Lorencen has assisted thousands of taxpayer's resolve their tax problem.

Amy M. Lothamer, B.S.

Vice President of Marketing

Amy holds her Bachelor's of Science from Michigan State University. She has worked in sales and marketing for over 10 years. She is responsible for all public relations for Lothamer P.C. Amy is currently an active volunteer with the Junior League of Lansing.

John D. Harrington, Esq.

Senior Case Manager

John is an attorney licensed to practice in Michigan and Florida. John is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Michigan; U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida and the U.S. Tax Court. John has been an attorney for 13 years.

Bridgette M. Austin

Senior Case Manager

Bridgette M. Austin is originally from Bellaire, MI. She completed her under-graduate studies at Northern Michigan University. She obtained her law degree from Michigan State University College of Law with a concentration in taxation.

Mark Hampton

Case Manager

Mr. Hampton is an attorney licensed to practice in Michigan. He received his law degree, as well as his Master of Laws in Taxation, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Mr. Hampton spent nearly two years working at the Michigan Tax Tribunal as a student law clerk. Prior to moving to Michigan, he lived and taught English in Rabat, Morocco, and was a Petty Officer First-Class in the United States Navy. He holds a Bachelors degree from Indiana University, where he was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Professional Business Fraternity.

Zacharie A. Stephen, JD

Zach is a licensed attorney in the State of Michigan. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State and a Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Taxation from Michigan State College of Law.
